Lighthouse Church of the Nazarene comes from the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition.  We understand Christ to be the head of the body, which is the church (Col. 1:18).  We strive to be a community founded in prayer, focused on the Word, faithful to fellowship, filled with and empowered by the Holy Spirit, and fitted for discipleship.  These principles inform our understanding of authentic worship, which is to be reflected in service.

We invite you to look around our website to learn more and hope you'll consider joining us this week for worship.

Pastoral Transition

It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Rev. Nick Lennon, his wife Denean, and their family. We thank them for sharing in God's mission,

their leadership and service to Lighthouse COTN and its community.

God has many rewards for them as they continue to serve in His mission field. We wish them the very best as they leave to lead and serve at

Blackman Community Church in Murfreesboro, TN.

During this pastoral transition we welcome Rev. Alan Flood as out interim pastor.

As we prayerfully seek a new senior pastor, we know that God will send a pastor and leader who is true to His mission.

The church is not a mission,

but exists because of God's mission

We understand the word mission in the context of ‘sending’ or ‘being sent’. We understand God to be a missional God, in that God sent the Son and the Holy Spirit.

We strive to be a Christian community of authentic worship understanding mission as derived from the very nature of God. In light of this we understand that mission is not primarily an activity of the church, but rather, it is in light of serving a missional God that the church participates in God’s mission. Therefore we are a sent people.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ does not solely serve to instruct Christians and strengthen their own faith, but also serves to call non-Christians to a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our conviction is that the whole congregation has been invited by God to participate in this mission; every individual with all their gifts and graces belongs to the mission of God’s kingdom.
